  The views are pretty good, but we spent almost 2 hours trying to find the trial and understand the arrows on the signs, and googling every reference we could find online. Once you find it and get going the right direction, it’s well marked, but man is it a struggle to get there. Some very sweet locals tried to help us but the language barrier was tricky. We finally found it, and it was nice, but not spectacular.

  Le meilleur moyen de découvrir le lac de Côme en y accédant depuis Lernia. Se garer devant la gare de Lernia et emprunter le sentier du Viadante jusqu'à Varenna GR 71 (15kms environ ). Plusieurs randonnées possibles autour du lac de Côme. Vue sublime sur le lac et Bellagio depuis les montagnes (1000 m d'altitude ). Pause déjeuner possible à mi chemin à Ortanella, excellent restaurant (agriturismo). Spécialité régionale: patole di san Antonio👌. Une fois arrivé à Varenna, prendre le train qui vous ramenera à Lernia.

  The best way to discover Lake Como by accessing it from Lernia. Park in front of Lernia station and take the Viadante trail to Varenna GR 71 (about 15kms). Several possible hikes around Lake Como. Sublime view of the lake and Bellagio from the mountains (1000 m altitude). Lunch break possible halfway to Ortanella, excellent restaurant (agriturismo). Regional specialty: patole di san Antonio👌. Once you arrive in Varenna, take the train back to Lernia.
