Discover over five centuries of watchmaking history at Patek Philippe Museum, which houses a large collection of fine timepieces and related mechanisms created from the 16th century up to the present day. Founded by one of Switzerland's leading watch manufacturers, the museum devotes a great deal of attention to the brand's own luxury products, with a special focus on modern precision pieces and lavish 19th-century pocket watches. The antique collection looks beyond the brand's best products and traces the evolution of timekeeping with displays of the finest examples of Swiss-made watches, musical automata, and portrait miniatures painted on enamel. Great place to see old and new watch designs. Some interesting antique pieces. Plan about 1 -2 hours

I visited the museum on Dec 26, 2019 with my partner. The museum has disabled access. Tickets were reasonably priced and include a free audio guide in English in exchange for your ID card as deposit. Onto the exciting stuff - the displays were stunning, and the audio guide is invaluable as it explains in detail the intricacies and fads of the time periods each piece was created in. I'm not very interested in watches normally, but this was educational and I came away with a much deeper appreciation of watch-making, from pocket-watches to chronographs to modern wristwatches. I've given a 4 because the display relies heavily on the tourist having an audio guide (there are few descriptions otherwise) and the fact that showcase numbering wasn't intuitive, meaning you had to wander around quite a bit to find the relevant pieces to the audio guide. Nevertheless, a museum well-worth visiting and a special attraction unique to Geneva/Switzerland!
Very interesting if you like the historical aspects of the brand. Very well organised with lockers for any luggage, the photography is not permitted. No eating or drinking facilities, drinking water provided at the locker room level, toilets very clean. Not suitable for small children or adolescents with no interest in the field. Would recommend the audio guide only if you very keen enthusiast., If not 1 hour to browse will be sufficient
