Keukenhof, Lisse

Garden Park Must See
Visit Keukenhof, the world's second-largest flower garden. With more than 7 million flowers in bloom every year from March to May, this is also called the Garden of Europe. The park was founded in 1949 on 15th-century hunting grounds that were developed to display Dutch and European hybrids. Discover 32 hectares (79 acres) of colorful, blossom-filled parkland. Walk through Castle Keukenhof which was built in 1641, view the traditional English landscape garden, and stroll along the pathways of the exotic Japanese garden. Because the Netherlands is known for tulips, you may expect to see many of them here, however, the only nearby tulip fields lie beyond the garden's borders and are privately owned. Put Keukenhof on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Lisse journey builder site.

  • One of the most beautiful flower gardens in the world. It is located in a vast area between Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Tulips bloom most spectacular. A true outdoor recreation for all ages. Well-kept garden, promenades, programs. You can also buy special tulip bulbs typical of the garden! You must see it at least once in your life!
  • Very beautiful garden with tulips! It's an absolute pleasure to walk there! Flowers are very big and beautiful, the combination of colours is very good. The garden can be visited only a couple of months in March - April. I would recommend to go in the middle of the opening time
