    This park lies toward the southern end of Marathon Key. It is a wonderful place, with beaches that are pristine on both the bay side and the gulf side. We spent the day there, hiking the Bridge Trail....  more »

    Worth a stop. Water was warm. The views from the bridge were gorgeous. I sat on the beach facing the over seas highway. I wish I had sat on the other side. I think there would have been better...  more »

    Bahia Honda State Park is a gorgeous place to visit and stay in the Florida keys. Staff is friendly, camp sights are clean and spacious. Camp facilities are clean and cleaned very thoroughly daily. The park store is nicely stocked with a wide variety of items and food. The beach is clean and beautiful. We met a Monroe county employee monitoring the water quality while was great while we were there.

    I was here before the giant hurricane Irma, which permanently changed the beaches layout. And still has part of the beaches closed due to that storm. There's awesome snorkeling on the marina side, and the water is usually extremely clear and visibility is good (best at slack tide) but unfortunately the Atlantic side gets covered in seaweed continuously. For snorkeling, it's the best spot to go without having to go far away from shore, but still seeing lots of fish and other marine life.
