Located in the building where Lee Harvey Oswald fired the three infamous shots that killed John F. Kennedy, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza examines the life, death, and legacy of the 35th president of the United States. The museum's exhibits use historic films, photographs, and interpretive displays to present the assassination in a historical context, drawing on government investigations that followed the event. This is the only place in the world where you can take a look through the very window on which Oswald leaned as he fired upon the presidential motorcade. Remember that only a limited number of visitors can enter at any one time, so be sure to book your timed-entry tickets well in advance. We visited this museum during a brief stay in the area. The Covid protocol was excellent. It wasn’t super busy while we were there, but a steady flow of people. We enjoyed seeing all the photos... more »

A great museum to visit. I wouldn’t suggest it for small kids as they will definitely get bored. The audio tour was excellent and I spent about two to three hours there. Not American myself but citizen of the world I got some goosebumps while going through the Kennedy story. I have to be honest that I got too emotional. Definitely worth visiting when in Dallas!!!

This was my second time experiencing the museum. I absolutely love it. My fiance had never been and he's not from Dallas so I thought it would be a great opportunity. We really enjoyed it even though it was much busier and crowded than the first time I'd went. They have made additions and exhibits that were not there 10 years ago which I loved even more. I'd always go back for this experience no matter how many times I've already been. I love that you can go at your own pace with the audio and visuals. Love the store that's also inside. A but pricey but that's expected. Always a wonderful experience.
