Spend a day on the white sand and in the turquoise waters of Manini'owali Beach (Kua Bay). Often called Kua Bay, the area is part of the Kekaha Kai State Park. Head here to get away from the crowds. The beach is small and stays relatively quiet because of its isolated location. The shallow water and soft sandbar make for pleasant swimming. Bring an umbrella, as natural shade is limited. Also remember to bring drinking water and sunscreen because the cove does not have facilities nearby. The waves are fantastic, the life guards provide updates as needed, there is plenty of room for everyone, the sand is like talcum powder, and that they have hot water showers for after-ocean playing..... more »

There is about a 20 minute walk to this beach, but it was beautiful and we got to see sea turtles out swimming and sunning themselves on the rocks. The water was lovely. more »
