Opal Minded, Sydney

My husband and I visited Opal Minded on our honeymoon in Sydney in August. We were hoping to buy an opal and Opal Minded was by far the best place we shopped! Fiona was extremely knowledgeable about the different types of opals and each piece of jewelry we looked at. She helped us pick the perfect ring and measure my finger to have it resized. I absolutely love my opal ring. It’s unique and reminds me of my trip to the Great Barrier Reef with all the beautiful blues and greens in the stone. I highly recommend shopping at Opal Minded!

This is my favourite Opal shop in Sydney. Initially I was just browsing out of curiosity, I was not so keen on opals (in Europe you don’t see the nice ones) and was not intending to buy any. But then the lady had something special and to her contact, I fell in love with opals. After trying many different opals without getting the “that’s the one” I ended buying a small black opal ring that I wear every day (see photo) and a very beautiful (always admired when I wear it) boulder opal pendant for which the lady gave me some very nice cordons. That opal pendant is one of my most treasured pieces of jewellery. I never forgot what the lady said to me: “you do not chose an opal, the opal choses you” very true.
