Create an itinerary including Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium
Take in a wide range of art, including works from the Belgian masters, at Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, a collection of the country's four most important museums. Two of the museums are located in the center of Brussels in the Coudenberg neighborhood: the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Ancient Art. The Museum of Ancient Art was built as the Palais des Beaux-Arts funded by King Leopold II and showcases the artwork in large galleries. The other two museums are a few kilometers from the city center and house the work of specific artists: the Constantin Meunier Museum and the Antoine Wiertz Museum. Reach the Meunier Museum by tram lines 23, 90, 94 and the Wiertz Museum from the Luxembourg station. These two museums are free to enter and tour. All of the museums are free on the first Wednesday of every month, and with the Brussels Card. Alternatively, buy a combo ticket for all of the museums, including the Magritte Museum, for a discount and for convenience. These tickets are available at any of the museum's reception desks. • At the time of writing the multi ticket costs €15, it’s well worth it. You can easily spend 3 hours in there there’s so much beautiful artwork across 9 floors. I did around 10,660 steps today going...

  • We were viewing the Magritte exhibit. My husband is an admirer of his work. 5 min before closing, we were almost done and just wanted another picture or two when the staff were practically pushing us....  more

  • A must visit when you are in Brussels. Beautiful building, amazing collection of artwork! You can easily spend a whole day wandering around. Staff were friendly and helpful. Entrance is free on the first Wednesday of the month! The old masters collection is simply amazing. Lockers and drinking water available.
  • Magritte has his own space in this great museum and only this exhibition is already worth while the visit. Vast collection of old masters and always most interesting temporary exhibition. At this moment a retrospective on the cubism period of Pablo Picasso. Free lockers ( bring a piece of one euro though...) or free cloackroom.
