Beach Rat, Cavtat

This is not a beach. Just stones with tons of garbage. And it’s 20m long. Really impossible to me to understand why it has such a high rating score. But it seems to be the same for most beaches in Croatia.

We looked for a private spot away from the sunbeds. For the sunbed areas, you have to pay. As we stayed there for 1-2 hours, this was not an option for us. The beach itself has big stones and pebbles. Those who are looking for beach sands, won't be happy here. Tip on entering the water: slippers or water shoes make the entrance easier. The water is crystal clear, and with goggles, you can even see small fish. After 5 or 10 metres, the water is getting deep and is full of seagrass. It was a bit scary for my boyfriend who is not a swimming pro. But for me, it was not a problem.
