At Museum of Broken Relationships, reflect on the fragility of human relationships, and consider the political, social, and cultural circumstances surrounding the love stories presented. After the end of their four-year relationship, Olinka Vistica and Drazen Grubisic started the collection with their leftover personal items. See how other people embraced the idea of exhibiting their past love as a sort of mourning. The facility received the Kenneth Hudson Award for Europe's most innovative museum in 2011. • Do not hesitate to go to this museum if you like to read, like English and/or if you are into love stories. It’s a museum in which there are objects people have given them accompanied with the story of it. Some of them are truly emotional to read, and you will relate somehow with at least some of the stories (there are some about family, not only couples). Even though they say you take from 45min to 1h, I was so involved with the stories, I just lost track of time and spent 2h there, reading and understanding. There’s a book you can write there, it’s a great moment to let go, and there’s also a bar. Great experience, it was my first stop in Zagreb and I definitely say you shouldn’t skip it if you like reading!
  • I think this museum is quite unique in terms of theme. Each and every item in the museum has a story which will amuse and make you sad both at same time. Some stories are very touching and quite a collection of from everywhere in the world. I believe it's must visit in Zagreb, you can't hear stories of people everywhere.
