Create an itinerary including Nyhavn
Discover the city's rich heritage by strolling along Nyhavn, a picturesque canal lined by brightly colored townhouses, cafes, restaurants, and bars. Built in the 17th century, this New Harbor (as its name roughly translates), long attracted mostly rambunctious sailors and Bohemian writers. Hans Christian Andersen, who spent most of his life in this district, resided in houses numbered 18, 20, and 67 at various times. Today, the canal area attracts mostly tourists who come here from around the world in search of traditionally prepared herring dishes and the city's famous foaming beers. Don a pair of comfortable shoes, and start your tour at house number 9, the area's oldest building, constructed in 1681. You can plan Copenhagen trip in no time by asking Inspirock to help create your itinerary.

  • I love this part of Copenhagen. I was here many times. There are many great pubs and restaurants here. And those charming colourful buildings.

  • This was a beautiful place with loads of tourists as well as loads of Christmas vibes were coming from that... As there was a Christmas market as well as there was harbour to have a boat ride... With so colourful buildings.... It was a great spot to enjoy with friends and family. There were so many restaurants available over there and lots of cafes to have some snacks
  • Cool place with lots of colourful buildings - but as with all popular places there are a lot of tourists. You can see the buildings and then just go somewhere else to eat where it’s quieter if you’re not wanting to see hoards of tourists.
