Illuminating an array of warm colored light onto cool stone, the original stained glass windows in Cathedrale De Bourges date back to around 1215. This Roman Catholic cathedral is dedicated to Saint Stephen and retains the seat of the Archbishop of Bourgesretains. The "Last Judgment" on the west façade is a masterpiece of Gothic sculpture from the 1240s, while an emblematic mural depicting the Crucifixion dates back to 1475. The original mechanism from 1424 still tick-tocks in the astronomical clock, with the well-preserved clock face painted by Jean d'Orleans to symbolize the signs of the Zodiac.     This stunning cathedral exceeded our expectations. The gardens add to the beauty of the setting. We were surprised to see a large movie being filmed her during our visit.
