Really lovely views of the mountains and the city. It took us about 40 minutes to walk up. We're seasoned hikers so it was easy, but we sure did get sweaty because it was such a beautiful warm day...

We visited the Fort de la Bastille on a very hot afternoon in July. Because of the heat, we elected to take the “telepherique” (cable car), built in the 1930’s. The egg shaped cars give a great view..... more

So fantastic panoramic view with fresh air on top!! Many runners climbing up &down quickly on this steep mountain 😆 while we just walked slowly exploring every corner of this mountain to the top of cable car spot(Bastille)!! So beautiful every spot with every balcony(terrasse) at every step!! So hard to get on top by walk but it's worthy and taking cable car back to Grenoble Town is so nice joyful moment for us!!!

If you visit Grenoble this is a must visit. Use the cable car if you do not fancy the hike. Many activities to do including 12 restaurants, snack bar, panoramic views and Acro park. Great for hikers who wish to explore the fort in full and get great pictures over Grenoble.
