Parc Animalier de la Barben, La Barben

Amazing experience, is good enough to spend one day. It's especially nice if you have little kids, the place is very well laid out with all amenities, there's food available all over the place and you can bring your own food as well. There are enough toilets and drinking water spots. There is a train service for going to the top if you don't want to climb the stairs for 1€. There are play areas for kids and you can even reheat your food at the snacks bar. Overall highly recommended, the bird show isn't running and won't be available till April 23.

Very nice zoo with really large exhibits. A wide range of exotic animals, like the bush dogs from French Guyana which cannot be seen in other zoos. The habitats are well maintained and the animals are in a good shape. The bird show of free flying birds of prey (e.g. vultures, hawks, bald eagle,etc.) is outstanding.
