An ancient medieval fortress and prison, Conciergerie features remarkable medieval royal architecture. This was the site of Marie Antoinette's imprisonment in the period leading up to her execution in 1793. Don't miss the clock tower, which is visible from the street and was cleaned in 2013: it is the oldest clock tower in Paris. • If you like history, go to the Conciergerie. You can buy a ticket for both Saint Chapelle and Conciergerie. It’s a really nice place sometimes renegade to second plan.

  • Such a cool place!!! One of my favourite attractions we visited while in Paris. They give you a tablet that let's you explore the building "as it would have been" with some virtual reality. Tons of great history learned. Definitely recommend visiting!
  • A quiet not so crowded place and must visit considering the importance of the palace during the French revolution. Queen Mary Antoinette was imprisoned here before her last execution. Paris Museum Pass provides free access and at the ticket validation you can get the tablet for an immersive experience. It's free and easy to use. Just scan at the different spots and you can visit through time to see how it used to be and additional details. The great hall and public kitchen with the arches are amazing. An architectural wonder intact for us to travel in time. The place where the Queen was kept as a prisoner and the history around the Revolution is impressive to experience in person. There are toilets in the building and they are well maintained.
