Perhaps one of the most famous and opulent opera houses in the world, Palais Garnier was the setting for the 1910 novel "The Phantom of the Opera,” by Gaston Leroux. When you approach the façade, look up and you'll see the 7.5-m (25-ft) Beaux Arts statue known as L’Harmonie. Today, the opera house primarily produces ballet productions, which you can attend with advance tickets. Admission to an on-site museum, the Bibliothèque-Musée de l'Opéra de Paris (Paris Opera Library-Museum), is included in unaccompanied tours of the opera house building. Be sure to admire the enormous bronze and crystal chandelier in the auditorium. You can dine in the L'Opéra Restaurant. I only wish we could've had access further into the auditorium, but it's a beautiful place to wander around and loved seeing the infamous 'Box 5'. A must for any theatre-lovers like myself

What a lovely place. One can feel the history and the high society spirit first hand. The hall and all corridors are beautifully decorated. Truly an experience. We went there for the concert midi. Great value for money. I can only recommend.

This is one of the most beautiful places in Paris. If you come to Paris, this is a must see! This is definitely worth visiting. This is one of my wife's favourites place in Paris. From outside, the building is very fancy and beautiful, but when you get inside, it is another level, it’s magnificent. Also, the location is very accessible and very close to the Galeries Lafayette. The tour inside will take approximately 1 to 2 hours. Indeed, from the grand staircase, painting, chandeliers to the candelabras, everything make the atmosphere astonishing. Not to mention the theatre with the largest chandelier is absolutely worth your time to explore the Opera de Paris. I highly recommend!!!
