Musee D-Day Omaha is primarily the work of an enthusiast by the name of Michel Brissard. After years of research, Michel decided to exhibit his collection, paying tribute to the soldiers who died in the Battle of Normandy. Located in a period building (an American hospital during the landings), the museum houses a private collection composed of rare objects (such as an Enigma machine, Higgins boat, and German equipment), which have remained in their original state and illustrate technological advances in wartime. Many interesting items on display with descriptions in English and French. In door area and outdoor area with guns, searchlights and generators. Very fair price. Bar on site but closed when we visited in late June.

For the cost and space they have its a good stop. As a ww2 fanatic, I'd like to see the displays arranged a little better. It looks like they were just tossed in there for the most part. It was great to see some things I've been studying since I was young and thought my military career. Thanks for the experience. Worth the visit.
