A truly wonderful surprise awaits at the top of the road near the chateau.. Very thankfully, we did not drive past the sign and had the enormous privilege of visiting this fascinating museum. Founded locally and looked after lovingly, the museum contains a one of a kind collection, with fascinating explanations of the world that once was not so very long ago as seen through the wooden shoes that served so many functions. Very, very highly recommended.
