Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, Dublin

Definitely worth a visit. You'll find a mix of interesting artworks there. Modern art exhibitions, which I liked even - though at times the pictures were quite dismal, yet impressive all the same. Admission to the gallery is free, by the way. Strongly recommended.

In early February 2010, I went to the cafe at this gallery with my college and I paid 20 euros for the pastry and drink but I didn't get my change back. My mentor, one of the staff members and one of my fellow students said to me that I gave the lady €5 but I didn't give her €5. I just gave her €20. Then I told the lady that I gave her €20. She said to me that I didn't give her €20 and I said to her, "Yes I did." I wasn't lying 🤥. It must be my old mentor's or college's fault. I was really upset about it and my €20 just got robbed. It was the worst college trip I ever had. College trip was just an absolute nightmare! I am never coming back to the cafe at this gallery ever again! I'd say it is definitely the worst café in Dublin I've ever been to as well. Don't worry, I still like the gallery itself. It's a fabulous gallery. I've been to this gallery about many times. I think I gave the gallery a four out of five stars.
