We contacted Mauro on the same week of arrival and he was kind to accommodate my family at short notice. The studio was easy to find and cosy for everyone. We began the visit with an explanation of glass, types of glass, and his story of why he chose to focus on making marine animals. Then the magic began when he turned simple glass rods into beautiful glass creations using a flame and his tools. Definitely recommended for those with young children as Mauro kept mine interested throughout! Just ensure you contact him prior to book your appointment as he closes the studio just for your group.

I took lampwork lessons from Mauro. He is an excellent teacher; prompt, patient and knowledgeable. The entire experience was fun and enjoyable. Additionally his own work is amazing. This is a treasure not to be missed on a Venice visit.
