A gloriously restored and preserved temple and accompanying museum. The only drawback for us was the lack of English captioning in the museum.

This synagogue was renovated in 2017, but during my visit in October 2018 it was closed. One of the 3 synagogues saved from old times of Jewish presence in this tolerant city of Essaouira.

Small synagogue in the Mellah (Jewish Quarters). Cosy little place. Free of charge but you may drop your contribution in a contribution box.
