The Kasbah Taourirt is considered the gateway to the Sahara desert and is the main Berber city in the south and known for its sunsets and mountain scenery. It is also the filming location of several Hollywood movies, including Lawrence of Arabia 1962, The Gladiator 2000, and parts of the TV series Game of Thrones 2017. There isn't much else to do here, but it's worth a stop-over if you're heading towards or back from the desert.

Great site to see a refurbished kasbah run by the local government. The "guides" are not affiliated with the site, but if you negotiate a price ahead with them then they can offer useful information on the kasbah; validated of said information is debatable.
