Carmo Archaeological Museum
See ruins of Carmo Archaeological Museum, Lisbon's only church built almost entirely in Gothic style, which was destroyed by the 1755 earthquake. Today the site serves as an archaeological museum. Completed in 1423, the church was said to be the most lavish and imposing in the city at the time. Today you can tour the interior to see its remains and visit exhibits of various artifacts, architectural adornments, and noteworthy excavated items. View tombs of notable persons, such as King Ferdinand I, and see statues, Spanish-Moorish tiles, findings from the Roman and Visigoth periods, and relics dating back to 3500 BCE. It was a magnificent site and I was appalled to see this “church with no roof “ which is still so beautiful and grand. It’s amazing that even after about 260 years and 2 earth quakes and tsunami, these walls and arches are still standing on the ground. The museum is amazing as well and exhibits are very impressive. I believe this is one of must see site in Lisbon. Strongly recommended.

Had a interesting visit learning and discovering history. We went for the Lisbon under stars light show and it was great. Little bit too crowded and could have had a bit more details. Ruins itself is pretty simple and fast to observe, but overall a good visit.
