  • This private collection has been converted to a major museum in the Belem area. Fancy new building with a good food venue. Nice views of the river. And lots of valuable modern art.

  • The is the most user friendly art museums I’ve been to in my life. The floor plan is superb so you don’t get lost. You are guided through a single path to make sure you view everything. Even in the basement where there is open floor plan there is numbered tapes and arrow on floor! Their brochures are excellent. They also explain art movements in details for lay persons. Not only that, their second floor houses collections from well known artists including Warhol. You don’t come here expecting a large body of work from famous artists that you find in Paris London and New York though there are plenty of them represented here. You will ask find will some wonderful work that stand on their own. Start from the top floor and work your way down. Expect to spend 90 minutes if not more. It’s vast inside.
  • Beautiful beautiful art museum! If you re interested in contemporary art this place is unbelievable. There are lots of creations and not just paintings. It’s really big and personally I have never seen so many colorful paintings all at once. Definitely one of the best museum I have ever visited :)
