Ružica, Belgrade

Featured in numerous articles, including in the Atlas Obscura, Ružica features a facade covered in greenery and chandeliers made of weapons. Pressed up against the walls of the Belgrade fortress, the church has a history dating back to the 14th century, after which it was destroyed and rebuilt several times; the present construction is from 1925. During the 1700s, soldiers kept their gunpowder inside, and in the 19th century it served as a military church.
