Tresticklan National Park (Swedish: Tresticklan nationalpark) is located in the municipality of Dals-Ed in northwestern Dalsland, Sweden, along the Norwegian border. "Trestickel" means "trident", possibly a reference to the shape of Lake Stora Tresticklan. This national park contains one of the few remaining areas of old-growth forest in southern Scandinavia. The park was established in 1996 and has an area of 28.97 km2 (11.19 sq mi). The park's highest point is the Orshöjden (276 m.a.sl).

  • A fantastic national park especially for hikers. The paths are marked with signs now and then. Plus, great views can be enjoyed! One of the best parks in the area.
  • Nice park with fun and challenging trails. We walked towards the border, the yellow loop and to the peak of the hill. That however was the extend of the park. Compared to other parks where there are places to rest, viewpoints to see, make a fire... This park was limited to mere hiking through. The paths are not in loops so you can't just walk one trail and end up back were you started. For long hikes we would recommend starting from the south entrance instead of the main entrance.
