Stroll below a romantic canopy of trees at Kungsparken, a sprawling 19th-century park. The 8.4 hectare (21 acre) site was inhabited until the 1660s but then cleared to make way for the neighboring military protection. In 1869-1870 the park was built, complete with a cast-iron fountain at the center, plus expansive flower beds, playgrounds, and a windmill. The verdant paths are home to 120 different species of trees, as well as local wildlife. Pack a snack or a picnic blanket for a relaxing retreat. Beautiful park, easy walking, reminded me of the English Garden in Munich but much smaller. There is a lot of green space that people are hanging out on and a cute beer garden type restaurant.

The park is beautiful and easy to walk through. Nice wide paths. Don't miss the community gardens just south of the castle, it was my favorite part of our day trip to Sweden and the thing I think of most from our trip!

A beautiful park and garden with a lovely cafe hidden in the middle of flowers 💐 and abundance of green. Perfect for a walk and stroll or spend the whole afternoon here reading and appreciating the nature. So peaceful and tranquil.
