  • We went twice during our short trip to Switzerland, that must mean it was pretty good hey, or we really loved eating excessive amounts of Lindt chocolate... Either way, it is definitely worth a visit. You go through a tour of the history of chocolate and of Lindt. You then enter a room where you can taste the liquid chocolate, yum yum. Then further on you get to taste various bars of chocolate and can try guess the flavour. Towards the end there are big containers full of the Lindt balls. You can only eat them while you are there, however we saw many people shoving huge amounts into handbags (we too may have taken a pocket full). We also did one of the chocolate 🍫 making classes. This was so much fun. Heinz was the perfect teacher. The room is stunning, quite theatrical. We laughed, we ate and we had a really fun afternoon. Go try it.
  • A wonderful chocolate experience, especially if you are a lover of Lindt. The centrepiece is a dramatic giant whisk of eternally flowing chocolate. A self-guided tour then takes your through the origins and history of chocolate, before revealing how Lindt produce their own and letting you eat as much as you want (seriously). Finally, the gift shop has as much chocolate on offer as you could ever wish for. I cannot give five stars, as this is my fourth chocolate “experience” globally and in the others I have either been able to look through glass into the actual factory producing bars at an incredible rate or, even better, I was able to create my own bespoke bar of chocolate into a mould including the strength, flavouring and toppings… surely the perfect gift for a loved one! Alas, neither are possible here, which offers a slightly more sterile look at chocolate. Overall if you’re in a rush you can definitely do everything in less than an hour (though maybe skip the audio guide, which is the only thing that really slows you down), otherwise expect to be there for around an hour and a half. There are plenty of self-service free lockers for coats and bags inside too. A delicious experience, well worth a visit if you are in Zurich and don’t mind a short journey south of the city. If you found my review or photos helpful, please leave a quick thumbs up 👍 Thanks!
