Pay a visit to the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand at Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew). Located in the precincts of the Grand Palace, the temple houses an emerald Buddha statue carved from semi-precious green stone and covered in gold--deemed to be the palladium (protective image) of Thailand. The surrounding buildings, sculptural forms, and murals complement the regal and spiritual atmosphere of the room in which the Buddha is kept. Take time to wander the grounds, a great place to get lost in. It is worth knowing, it is very big and has a lot of history. The audio guide costs 200 baht and is available in several languages. It's a bit annoying because you have to return it in an hour and a half, but I think it's worth it. As I don't speak English very well, I have difficulty understanding Thai English, so it was great because there was an audio option in Spanish. If you like dance and theater, be sure to watch the show that you are entitled to with the purchase of the ticket. There is a shuttle there at certain times of the day. It's very beautiful! Unmissable!

Very majestic temple. Maintained really well beyond your expectations. It is a one of a kind temple to make you wonder how talented the Thai artists were when they created the art works in this temple. It is crowded on certain days if it is a holiday.
