Date of Visit: January 2020 The Grand Palace is one of the most popular and must-see tourist attractions in Thailand. Thus, expect the place to be jam-packed with fellow tourists. Don't forget to bring your patience, a water bottle, an umbrella (especially if you're going to visit at noon), and of course, your pants! You won't be allowed to enter if you're wearing shorts and sleeveless shirts. Fortunately, there's a lot of clothing rental shops just outside the place. The entrance to the Grand Palace's whole establishment/grounds is actually free. However, if you want to go inside and see what the Palace has to offer, prepare to shell out 500 baht. My family and I just visited to see the actual architecture of the buildings as it perfectly showed the Thai culture and grandeur. We enjoyed exploring the magnificent sights and taking pictures! Be very patient, though, as there are also a lot of other people taking their own photographs.

Thai culture at its best. Spread around the area were colourful and beautifully structured temples with its edges strung with bells and the chimes were pleasant and soothing. The atmosphere exuded a sense of peace and quiet. The Jade Buddha was kept at a height which was unreachable but very impressive to look at even from a distance. One could feel the positive energy emanating from it. It was extremely hot but one could find a resting spot with shade at every part of the grounds. The Palace had a very impressive outlook but was not open for viewing due to Covid. Definitely a place to visit and to wonder about.
