Admire the white marble walls and columns, high decorative gables, and red-stepped roofs of Wat Benchamabophit Dusitwanaram, a Buddhist temple representative of Bankok's ornate style and renowned for its beauty. Experience monks praying and chanting, wander through a cloister lined with 52 images of Buddha, and enjoy some quite reflection in the tranquil gardens, through which a small canal runs. Built in 1899 at the request of King Chulalongkorn, the name translates as "the temple of the fifth King" located nearby Dusit Palace. A beautiful marble temple located in the heart of Bangkok! Said to be built even before King Rama V but mainly developed during his reign. The iconic and must-never-miss view is the front temple view, which is also used in 5-baht-coin. There is an area inside the temple that use marble to make floor. So it is beautiful with white and clean feeling. It is easy to get here by bus, taxi or even drive here. There are around 20 parking lots free of charge.

Loved both the Temple buildings and the spacious grounds with it's rectangular water feature and fountains. If you walk towards the far side of the grounds you can see all the quaint monks accommodation, small terrace houses arranged either side of narrow lanes. It's so peaceful here you wouldn't guess you were in the middle of a city. I believe the front view entrance of the main temple building is featured on the 5 Baht coin. There is a nice coffee stall with shaded seats by the water feature where I got a chilled coconut to drink and eat with soon provided.
