Banyan Tree Spa Phuket, Choeng Thale

We complained about deteriorating service level before checkout, especially in the restaurant and reception areas, and one of the front staff replied that they did all their best and told us to write a review here instead of taking actions. So, here you go. We visited the hotel 5 times in the last 2 years and this place has gradually lost its magical touch. Same issues occur repeatedly as the hotel is under-staffed and service mind is lacking. Breakfast is always packed and staff cannot keep up with workloads. Orders are often missing and one morning we got an empty coffee pod and the waiter insisted that we ordered it. Totally ridiculous. Reception is equally bad. Check-in and checkout are taking forever and once it is done, they just left us sitting there without informing us. Another day we called them to bring our car to the lobby as we did valet parking. When we got there, the car was still in parking lots and no one seemed to do something. On a high note, housekeeping is excellent and very attentive. They truly brightened our stay.

The hotel was spectacular and great service. It’s a huge property. The staff catered to each one of us and made us feel comfortable. The food was great especially at Saffron. The breakfast spread was great and we had a good time. It’s a perfect place for going as couples, friends, family. Their hospitality was too notch. The spa was very relaxing for me and really well done. Would definitely go back and stay here sometime.
