Amboise is a commune in the Indre-et-Loire department in central France. Kids will appreciate attractions like Chateau Royal d'Amboise and Balloon Rides. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Amboise: Chateau de Cheverny (in Cheverny), Chateau Royal de Blois (in Blois) and ZooParc de Beauval (in Saint-Aignan). Orléans is a city in north-central France, about 111km southwest of Paris. You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Chateau of Azay-le-Rideau and Saint Benoit Aventure. Change things up with these side-trips from Orleans: Chateau d'Usse (in Rigny-Usse), La Forteresse de Montbazon (in Montbazon) and Chateau de Villandry (in Villandry). Renowned for its medieval cathedral built on a hill by the left bank of the Eure River, Chartres is a small city in the Centre-Val de Loire region and capital of the Eure-et-Loir department in northern France.
Kick off your visit on the 28th (Thu): take a stroll through Chartres Historic Preservation Area and then pause for some serene contemplation at Chartres Cathedral. On the next day, don't miss a visit to La Collegiale Saint Andre, then admire the natural beauty at Le Parc de la Clef, and then explore the engaging exhibits at Musee de l'Ecole de Chartres et d'Eure-et-Loir.
