Casablanca — 2 nights

The port of Casablanca, Morocco's largest city and economic hub, represents the country's beating heart, established as a French protectorate in 1912.

Lyon, France to Casablanca is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and bus; or do a combination of bus and train. The time zone changes from Central European Standard Time to Western European Standard Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. Traveling from Lyon in September, Casablanca is somewhat warmer at night with lows of 23°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Sun) early enough to drive to Rabat.

Traveling from Casablanca in September, you will find days in Rabat are slightly colder (26°C), and nights are about the same (26°C). Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Wed) to allow time to take a train to Tangier.
