Morocco's former capital, Fes enchants visitors with its walled medina, a labyrinthine web of pedestrian-only streets and a World Heritage Site.

Popular historic sites such as Archaeological Site of Volubilis and Kairaouine Mosque (Mosque of al-Qarawiyyin) are in your itinerary. Medina of Fez and Meknes Medina are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Take a break from Fes with a short trip to Bou Inania Medersa in Meknes, about 1h 10 min away. There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Museo Nejjarine, explore the world behind art at Coin Berbere, make a trip to Borj Nord, and delve into the distant past at Tombe dei Merenidi.
