Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
Basilica de la Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll get in some beach time at Playa de La Barceloneta and Platja de Canyelles. Take a break from Barcelona with a short trip to Cala Banys in Lloret de Mar, about 1h 10 min away. There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Casa Batllo, visit Gothic Quarter (Barri Gotic), contemplate the long history of Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar, and explore the world behind art at Museu Picasso.
