I was staying in Llandudno, but stopped off at Beaumaris. Found the Pier & just on the Beach, the Lifeboat Station. Because of Covid, you can't get to see the Lifeboat, but you can go in the Shop, 1..... more

Having been offshore members since 2017 in support of the fantastic work the RNLI does we never dreamt for one minute we would need them ourselves in an emergency. Sept 18th 2021 –close to the Caernarfon Bar, in fading light with sea mist rolling in, we had an electrical failure which took out our main engine and radio then, as we headed back in on our auxiliary motor, it too failed leaving us stranded. We cannot thank enough the crew from RNLI Beaumaris who sped out to our rescue on their Atlantic 85 and towed us back in.

Had a great time at the lifeboat day. Standing on the pier and watching the boats was amazing. These people do a fantastic job and deserve a huge amount of support.
