I am a member of Chester zoo so had a free visit. I've been too many zoo across the country and this is the definitely the next best after Chester. Colchester is not as big but is definitely more interactive with its customers and was well set out. Plenty of animals to view and plenty of eating spaces and play areas for the kids. Would definitely recommend a visit to anyone. And we will definitely return next time we are in the area ππΌππΌππΌ

Colchester Zoo is simply amazing. They are clearly interested in animal welfare always improving their environment and provided enriching foods and entertainment. The Zoo is always well kept and presented. They contribute to their charity Action in the wild and have secured a successful breeding program for many animals. Presentations we watched were done with knowledgeable friendly staff. All the staff were happy and welcoming. Colchester Zoo is "up there" with Zoos across the planet. I'm so glad its so local to me. They are so active in the community. Well done Colchester Zoo. My daughter has asked you get Giant Pandas in particular baby ones. She loves the Red Pandas but they aren't quite the same she said.
