Enjoy rollercoasters, boat rides, train rides, and camping in the natural setting of Wicksteed Park. Make your way around four themed areas. In Arena, thrill yourself on the venue's bigger rides, such as Flying Chairs, Revolving Paratrooper, Ladybird Coaster, and Rocky River Falls log flume. Make sure you're ready to get wet on the watery rides and attractions around Lakeside. Fairground features rides for kids up to the age of 13 or 14, and Playground offers a free jungle gym. Ride the heritage Wicksteed Park Railway around the venue, and pitch a tent in the campground if you want to spend the night. • Fun day out for the family, relatively cost effective too. It's a large space, with plenty of green for picnics. Just off the A14, and therefore relatively easy to get to. Plenty of parking, but note that this does cost extra. It's an older theme park, with Victorian heritage (I think). Some of the rides reflect this. You can buy a wrist band, giving you access to all the rides (height dependent).
  • Lovely family venue. No entry fee, but parking charged. Wrist bands or tickets for rides. Lovely areas for picnics or food stalls if you prefer. Toilets always clean. Lots of green spaces and rides for a range of ages, probably best for children aged 5 to 12 years. Lake for boating and the little train is a family tradition.
