I love a good gallery. Tate Britain is one I have not visited for a very long time. The space is astonishing. The Procession by Hew Locke was breathtaking. A massive installation occupying the central hall drew you in. You wanted to drift along absorbing the different tableaus that made up the whole. It was beautiful and disturbing, celebratory and challenging. I loved that you could engage at the macro and micro. Everywhere you looked there was a moment. So striking. The other galleries were equally brilliant with a fantastic range of different pieces from across time and geography. Highly recommended. Food is also very good and we were made to feel really welcome by all the staff. A great place to visit.

Great museum with top notch art. Admission is free, but special exhibitions require a paid ticket. There's good accessibility, with ramps and elevators. There's a bag/coat storage. The Hew Locke exhibition in 2022 was stunning and poignant. It's easy to get to the Tate Britain via bus or tube.
