  • I was very fortunate to be invited here by a member, and have now played the course on 3 occasions. A great variety of holes to challenge all abilities with stunning views. The staff are friendly and welcoming as were the other members I met. This warm welcome and the quality of the course all adds up to a great days golf. So much so .. I’ve enquired about the best membership option for me
  • Every time I play here at whatever time of year I am impressed by the condition and the overall state of the grounds and different areas around the course. It's a very neat and tidy golf course with nicely edged paths and well maintained areas around trees etc. There's a lot of detail to the way it's maintained. The course is always enjoyable to play and there's some nice views across the surrounding fields to keep your eye interested around the course. There's good variety in most of the holes but one or two on the back 9 feel a little samey. Brutal 18th hole if it's into the usual wind you get on it and the 17th is a pretty tricky par 3 also. Great and tough finishing holes. It doesn't feel quite as old as it actually is. It's quite open and there's not a whole lot of trees about or anything to give it that aged character that some other courses of this age have. However as a golfing experience I can't knock it. All the playing surfaces are superb and the way they mow their tees and maintain their greens and green surrounds is a class act. Some really nice new bunkering taking shape at the moment and the condition of the fairways and the playing areas in these December conditions is extremely impressive. It's getting quite spendy to play here but I definitely recommend giving it a go.
