Established in 1857, the Moravian Historical Society is the third oldest historical society in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We share Moravian art, history, architecture, innovation, and culture with the community through events, tours, exhibitions, publications, and more.PutThe Moravian Historical Society into our Nazareth trip planning site and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.
The Society is affiliated with the Moravian Archives in Bethlehem, Pa. This affiliation allows both organizations to create a more complete picture of Moravian history and to present that history in new and modern ways.
We are proud to be a Preserve America Stewards Presidential Award winner, a Blue Star Museum, and a partner with National Geographic Magazine's Delaware River geotourisim project.
The Society is housed in the 1740/1743 Whitefield House and the 1740 Gray Cottage (the two oldest Moravian structures in North America)

Excellent tour and history of the community. Close to most every thing, if you are taking in the CF Martin factory, this is a must.

Great information and history of the area. Had no idea that the Moravian were like our modern day Peace Corps. Well worth the $5.00 admission fee.

My family and I have been to the Whitefield House numerous times for their interesting objects and artifacts, their quality events, and my son even participated in their summer camp. It is great to see an organization that makes history fresh and relevant and seeks to bring the community together to build a future history that is as valuable as its past history.

Went to see the Putz today 1-11-2020. Checked the website before starting our 2 1/2 hour drive. Website said it would be up until 1-13-2020. Got there to find it had been taken down. The young people there were nice but had no idea what the website said about the Putz. Waste of time and gas - a major disappointment!!!!
