Few places conjure up as many iconic images of New York as Times Square, the tourist center of the city, filled with bright video screens and LED signs flashing their messages 24 hours a day. Despite its name, this city landmark isn't a square at all, but the triangular intersections of several main roads in the middle of Manhattan. Stop at the prominent visitor center for restaurant and hotel recommendations, free maps, and ticket sales for many tourist attractions. Often called the crossroads of the world, the area features themed restaurants, theaters, and shops. PutTimes Square into our New York City trip planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

The costume wearers would grab my camera and took pictures of me standing with them. Then they charged me $120. Hell no! I never agreed to pay them anything. Why aren’t the police doing anything.... more

This is definitely the hearth and would of the city! If you are in New York, you have to go to Times Square, no doubts about it 😍 This is the place that concentrates one of the world most famous advertising spots, ads and news! The feeling of just walking in this area is amazing and it’s free 😂 This place has been the background and stage of many movies, famous events, concerts, etc. There are plenty of options for shopping, eating and drinking. There are many theaters and attractions just concentrated in these few blocks. Last but not least, if you are in New York in late December you should consider attend to the most famous New Year’s Eve celebration… obviously in Times Square! 👍

Had a great time here at Times Square, I am happy that there is a big Police presence here so that nobody gets way out of line. FYI… don’t go to Times Square if you cannot stand being around a lot of people. This place gets busy even on a weekday/ weeknight.!! Fun times though, highly recommended if you’ve never been here.
