The entrance to the Ted Ensley Gardens is our Trailhead shelter and restroom located just north of 37th and West Edge Rd. From there you walk through a beautiful 60 ft. covered bridge over a rocky stream. Then you stroll on the sidewalks through a meditation garden, rock gardens, many annual and perennial beds, rose gardens, and water gardens. There is also a gazebo, pergola, waterfalls, streams, and several ponds.Plan your visit to Ted Ensley Gardens and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Topeka holiday maker website.
The Ted Ensley Gardens are a great place to take in the beauty of nature. The Horticulturists, with the assistance of volunteers plant more than 80,000 Tulips and Daffodils that are in full bloom for the annual Tulip Time in Topeka. In May more than 90,000 annuals are planted in beds throughout the gardens.

We would have given it a 5 star rating, but the tulips weren't in full bloom. We went with a group of 14 and Tracy gave us a wonderful tour. She made the gardens come alive and filled in a lot of...

Great park and floral garden! Why wouldn't you stop here?? Nice paved walkways stretching through beautifully shaped floral works. Bench's to sit in the sun, hidden places to sit in the shade, gazebos, water features, big lake, restrooms, easy parking, easy to get to, and it's in a nice area that allows you to feel safe. If you are just driving by on I-70, it's a short detour that's well worth the entry fee....FREE FREE FREE 🤠. If you are visiting, it's a must!!! Wheelchair access as well and great walkways for that need.

I was truly taken off guard by how stunningly beautiful this garden was. There was a ceremony being set up for a wedding there when we visited and honestly it got me inspired as well. The gardens sit right on the lake so you can sit and enjoy the beautiful colors of the flowers or the peaceful sounds of the waves here. We only had time for the garden this trip but it definitely made me interested to come back and explore more of the park in the future.
